“Roses do not bloom hurriedly; for beauty, like any masterpiece, takes time to blossom.”

Hi there, I’m Colleen and I am so glad you are here!

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). In my practice I see individuals and families ranging from childhood to late adulthood.

As a therapist, I am passionate about empowering individuals to navigate life’s pivotal transitions with resilience and hope. Whether you're working through childhood trauma, pregnancy, prenatal and postpartum experiences, relational or identity shifts, I provide a nurturing space where healing and growth are possible. I am here to help support you through anxiety, grief, trauma, and inner conflict while also nurturing your self-esteem and sense of self.

My work is deeply rooted in empathy, intuition, and respect. I come from a trauma-informed and integrative approach, weaving a holistic, somatic, narrative, and existential perspective in all that I do. I take into account your past experiences, attachment, family dynamics, cultural influences, and the larger systems that impact your life. I create a space where one's full self is welcomed—with all the complexities, contradictions, and truths.

I believe that creativity and somatic practices are important to the therapeutic process and healing. Our emotions and experiences can live in our body, so at times I may model movement to help facilitate the processing of these emotions and experiences. This can look like stretching or yoga like movements, breathings techniques, and other grounding exercises. This will always be optional. I often incorporate art and nature into our sessions as a connection to our creativity, to the earth, and the fire within us are vital to healing and tending to our multidimensional selves.

I invite you to reach out if you feel called. It is a deep honor to hold space and witness your journey. Healing unfolds in spaces of safety and genuine connection. Together, we will gently explore the roots of your experiences, nurturing a stronger sense of confidence, trust, and connection in order for lasting changes to take place.

My background

I grew up in Reno Nevada and have a deep love and appreciation for our beautiful state.

I attended the University of Nevada, Reno where I received my bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies in 2016. I later went on to receive my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling at The University of Nevada Reno in 2022.

I bring over fourteen years of experience working with individuals, children, teens, and families across various settings. My background includes mental health counseling for early childhood, teens, and adults. I have also served as a parent/child development educator, and working as a graduate teaching assistant for human development during my Master’s program. Additionally, I have years of experience as a nanny and Au Pair, both locally in Nevada and in New Zealand. My passion for helping others has been a constant throughout my journey, and I truly LOVE being a therapist for our community.

I currently live on a homestead with my husband, tending to our home and land. I enjoy reading, writing, adventuring, painting, cooking, and spending time with my family and friends.
